About us

Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC) is a centre for creative learning in arts and communication. It seeks to inspire a new approach to communication and artistic expression amongst the aspiring and talented media professionals. It aspires to train media professionals with excellent skill sets and also ignite in them an inquisitive spirit for understanding the purpose of media and artistic expressions.

SACAC aims to be a pioneer in producing media and communication professionals who are knowledgeable and also have the ability to apply their knowledge and advanced technical skills for innovative creations in their chosen fields. The focus is to cultivate professionals whose work will move the human collective consciousness towards a more permanent and abiding perception of aesthetics, truth and beauty.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, an internationally reputed institution dedicated to the promotion of education and culture, is a charitable public trust founded by Dr. K.M. Munshi on november 7, 1938.
The founding members of the Bhavan include Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Republic of India, Shri C. Rajagopalachari, the first indian and last Governor General of India; Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of free India; Sardar Patel , Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, several distinguished scholars, statesmen and leaders of modern Indian renaissance.

Take One School of Mass Communication operates under the Guru Dronacharya Educational Society. This society is a registered body with the Registrar of Societies. Goverment of National Capital of Delhi. The School is a study center of The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar established by an Act of Legislature of Haryana State on October 20, 1995 (Haryana Act 17 of 1995) to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies, and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. It was formally inaugurated on 1st November, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint and environmentalist of 15th century. The University Grant Commission recognized this University under Section 2(F) for the recognition of degrees on 11.1.1996 and under Section 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act for Central assistance on 7.2.1997.

    Reporters Without Borders says journalists' death toll up in 2011

    This year 66 journalists have been killed worldwide, according to the French-based advocacy organization, Reporters Without Borders (RSF).That is a 16 percent increase compared to last year, when 57 reporters died.
    The organization's annual review also stated that 1,044 journalists were arrested, 1,959 were physically attacked or threatened, and 71 were kidnapped.In online media, RSF stated that 199 bloggers and netizens were arrested, and five netizens were killed.
    The review also revealed the top 10 most dangerous countries for reporters."Ten journalists were killed in Pakistan," AFP reported. "Making it the most dangerous country for news coverage for the second year running."
