आज रविवार, 25 दिसम्बर 2016 को इंडिया इंटरनेशनल सेंटर में “इंडियन मीडिया फोरम” के तत्वाधान में "Morality & Moral Policing in Digital Age (डिजिटल युग में नैतिकता और मोरल पोलिसिंग)” विषय पर एक परिचर्चा आयोजित की गई. कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग गुरु एवम आईसीसीआर की गवर्निंग बॉडी के सदस्य डॉक्टर वरुण वीर थे. अन्य वक्ताओं में वरिष्ठ पत्रकार और प्रेस क्लब ऑफ़ इंडिया के सदस्य श्री मनीष ठाकुर जी, दिल्ली सरकार में श्रम आयुक्त श्री मुनीश कुमार गौड़ जी, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार श्री सुरेन्द्र सिंघल जी, उच्चतम न्यायलय में वकील श्री अभिषेक शर्मा जी उपस्थित थे.

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि टीवी 100 समाचार चैनल के सीईओ श्री सुरेन्द्र गुप्ता जी थे. परिचर्चा में विशिष्ट अतिथि दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय में संस्कृत विभाग के पूर्व अध्यक्ष श्री रमेश भारद्वाज जी एवं मणिपुरी फिल्म निर्माता सुश्री संगीता ताखलियुम जी थे. इस विषय पर परिचर्चा में ऑर्गनाइजर पत्रिका के पत्रकार श्री प्रमोद सैनी जी, दूरदर्शन से नवनीत चतुर्वेदी जी समेत विभिन्न पत्रकारों ने भी अपने विचार रखे. परिचर्चा का आरम्भ उपस्थित वक्ताओं के स्वागत एवं सम्मान के साथ किया गया. इंडियन मीडिया फोरम के संस्थापक सदस्य एवं परिचर्चा संचालक श्री रामेन्द्र मिश्रा जी ने इंडियन मीडिया फोरम के बारे में सभी को अवगत कराया.

8 वर्ष पूर्व दिल्ली के पहाड़गंज में, आराम बाग कॉलोनी में एक कमरे में एक लैपटॉप से शुरू हुई कोशिश आज मीडिया, साहित्य एवं हिंदी बौद्धिक जगत में एक सशक्त आवाज़ बन गयी है. जी हाँ प्रवक्ता.कॉम आज वास्तव में अपने ध्येय वाक्य "अभिव्यक्ति का अपना मंच" को सार्थक कर रहा है. इस प्रसिद्ध हिंदी पोर्टल के 8 वर्ष पूरे होने पर 19 नवंबर 2016 को नई दिल्ली के कंस्टीट्यूशन क्लब में "मीडिया और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा" विषय पर एक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया. इस संगोष्ठी के सफल आयोजन के लिए 'इंडियन मीडिया फोरम' की ओर से प्रवक्ता के संस्थापक एवं प्रबंध संपादक श्री भारत भूषण, संपादक श्री संजीव सिन्हा जी को बहुत बहुत बधाई.

"बदलते परिवेश में भाषा" विषय पर गोष्ठी का आयोजन

आज 'इंडियन मीडिया फोरम' के तत्वाधान में "बदलते परिवेश में भाषा" विषय पर एक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया | संगोष्ठी की अध्यक्षता 'भारतीय साहित्यकार संघ' के अध्यक्ष डॉ वेद व्यथित जी ने की | हिंदी और अन्य भारतीय भाषाओँ की स्थिति, वैश्विक स्तर पर उनके हालत और प्रवासी भारतीयों का हिंदी के प्रसार में योगदान, भाषा आन्दोलन, भाषा को लेकर राज्य की भूमिका, भाषा पर सांस्कृतिक प्रभाव, भाषा पर आर्थिक प्रभाव आदि विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई |

डॉ वेद व्यथित ने कहा कि 'भाषा पर अधिकार सम्मान दिलाता है | यदि आप प्रांजल भाषा बोलते हैं, भाषा पर आपका पूर्ण अधिकार है तो हिंदी बोलने पर भी उतना ही सम्मान मिलता है जितना की अंग्रेजी बोलने पर | भाषा पर अधिकार होने के साथ ही भाषा को लेकर स्वाभिमान की जरुरत है | अगर ये दोनों चीजें आपके पास हैं तो फिर हिंदी को भी उतने ही सम्मान से लोग स्वीकारते हैं जितना की अन्य कोई विदेशी भाषा |'

Paid News: How corruption in the Indian media undermines democracy

Preface
The fifteenth general elections to the Lok Sabha took place in April-May 2009 and in order to ensure free and fair coverage by the media, the Press Council of India issued guidelines applicable to both government authorities and the press. After the elections, a disturbing trend was highlighted by sections of the media, that is, payment of money by candidates to representatives of media companies for favourable coverage or the phenomenon popularly known as “paid news”.
The deception or fraud that such “paid news” entails takes place at three levels. The reader of the publication or the viewer of the television programme is deceived into believing that what is essentially an advertisement is in fact, independently produced news content. By not officially declaring the expenditure incurred on planting “paid news” items, the candidate standing for election violates the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, which are meant to be enforced by the Election Commission of India under the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Finally, by not accounting for the money received from candidates, the concerned media company or its representatives are violating the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 as well as the Income Tax Act, 1961, among other laws.
